"I can't convey how deeply meaningful it is for us to know that BJ will individually be remembered every year,
in a simple ritual, by 100 teams of Minnesotans for his great sacrifice for our country.
Thank you, thank you, thank you." Dianna B., Gold Star Mother

The Adopt The Memory remembrance project is the result of a significant number of Minnesota's largest employers and membership organizations desiring to offer a simple, unique, meaningful, group engaging, community service opportunity to employees and members. The project encourages individuals to form remembrance teams of as few as two, to as many as hundreds, growing each team at any time. These teams select one active duty, Minnesota connected service member lost since 9/11 and make a simple promise to gather at least once each year at any place and time, for at least one minute, to remember their service member. Each team decides how it will perform its remembrance and is given the option to very publicly describe its remembrance activity and identify its participants, in text, pictures or video via a widely distributed public blog dedicated to its service member.

Participation is free and the only requirement is a desire to express the thought that we remember, that we care and that the great sacrifice made by each of these lost Americans should never be allowed to become trivial or circumstantial.
